Hello, I'm James Cundle, a technical co-founder, full stack engineer, devops and freelance consultant. My latest projects include Y-Combinator backed Mio, Prompt and Fetch. I formed Blue World Media in 1999 and have been building profitable solutions online ever since.

I have a broad toolkit of engineering skills. My prefer stack includes, but is not limited to, Node.js and PHP 7 along with React and Bootstrap. I have genuine full stack expertise including RDMS and NoSQL provisioning, Linux DevOps / SysAdmin and Cloud CI deployment (Ansible/Jenkins), plus Docker and containerisation on various platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS).
As well as being the managing director of Blue World Media, I have also enjoyed the role of CTO for a number of companies, including venture backed companies Fetch and Message.io.
I have founded and co-founded a number of start-ups over the years in a number of vertical markets, including Enterprise, SaaS, B2B, B2C and B2D.
A versatile engineer, my experience includes but is not limited to; Node.js, React, Javascript, PHP 7, Bash, Python, DevOps, Linux, AWS, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Containers, VCS / Git, RDBMS, MySQL, NoSQL, Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, JIRA, Project Management, Agile.
I have extensive experience in Laravel as well as building bespoke frameworks, plus I've also worked with Symfony, Express and many others.
Developing fast, reliable, thin-client software systems and micro-services over API's is a particular speciality.
I have been directly responsible for preparing and enabling startups for SOC 2 Type I and Type II compliance.
